Ananda College will be hoping to bounce back when they take on Prince of Wales College Moratuwa in their Singer inter school under 20 Division One Group B league rugby tournament match at Longden Place today. The Anandians had a tough assignment last week where they went down to Wesley College 17-25 at the same venue. But this time they have a good chance of redeeming their lost prestige and to register their third victory in the current season. The Anandians are currently placed fifth in the latest points table and should be able to climb further up with an improved performance in today's outing. Ananda College of course will need to produce a much better performance because the Cambrians are capable of staging an upset having made steady progress in their last few outings. Last week too the Anandians simply threw away the game after having dominated the first half where they took a close 17-15 lead at half time but committed too many mistakes during the latter stages which really cost them the game. Prince of Wales College are currently placed sixth in their latest points table with just a solitary win to their credit. Meanwhile Wesley College will be hoping to maintain their impressive record this season when they confront Lumbini MV in their Singer inter school under 20 Division One Group B league rugby tournament match at Havelock Park today. The Wesleyites are in a confident mood after having defeated Ananda College 25-17 in their previous encounter last week. They are also in contention for the league title and are currently placed third in the latest points table with three wins to their credit from four outings. Wesley College should be able to pile up a big score and also collect more bonus points as their opponents Lumbini MV are yet to make an impact in the current season and are placed at the bottom of the latest points table. Thurstan College will hoping to register their second win this season when they take on Science College Mount Lavinia in their Singer inter school under 20 Division One Group B league rugby tournament match at Longden Place today. Thurstan College are placed fourth in the points table with one win, one loss and one drawn match to their credit from three outings. They certainly have a great chance of improving their track record as Science College are still searching for their maiden victory in the current season.
