The library itself was destroyed and its  contents burned or sold. The great part of the library that was saved  later became absorbed into the Ottoman Sultan's library after the Muslim forces of Mehmed  II captured Constantinople, Sultan of  the Ottoman Turks, at the end of the siege of 1453.that's how Arabs got their knowledge via that Great Library instead it's not their own knowledge after the destruction of Ottoman Empire most of valuable things were carried over to Western World</blockquote>
