Shakira heads to Bollywood


Latino pop star Shakira has signed up to shake her hips in the upcoming Bollywood film 'Om Shanti Om' after impressing producers with her Indian-inspired performance at last week's MTV Music Video Awards.


The Colombian sensation and her dance performers performed a Bollywood-inspired rendition of her hit single 'Hips Don't Lie' at the awards ceremony, which was choreographed by Bollywood's Farah Kahn.


Impressed at the nature of the dance, Shakira asked Kahn whether she could perform in the filmmakers upcoming project, which is set to begin shooting later this year.


After agreeing to take her on, Khan said Shakira would be visiting India for a concert in March (07) and that the movie's dance sequences could be shot at that time.
