Gilchrist is retireing even when he is still scoring 100s..Macgrath retired after just taking 4 wickets in a match..shane warne did the same... All of these guys still can play..but they choose the right option and retired so that new players can have a chance & their teams future is secured...
Look at India.. They decided to rest Ganguly & Shewag..Dropped Dravid...In came Sharma, Uthapa & Gambir... Look at India Now & Look at us now..
If we blood youngsters now..guys like Udawatte will have plenty of Experience when the next world cup comes... Let Sana play for another couple of years..we would be in the same situation & facing the same problems then.. what we are facing now....

Sana should be forced to retire, Vaas is next.. Murali should be slowly encouraged to minimize playing for ODIs (Should giv another spinner a go), Chamara Silva should be dropped until he finds form again... Kapugedara should be given another couple of matches (because of his last performance) & if he fails then drop him & give Warnapura a chance... Maharoof also should be dropped if he fails consistently in batting & under perform in Bowling..should give Mirando a chance...
These sounds like serious changes I know..But these were the same kind of changes India made earlier..And now they are reaping the rewards...
