yes...... i think they didn't block or cheated on voting process......
But still..... they could have given a better solution for accepting larger no of votes (at least they know how much they are getting approximately )
Hope they will consider about this in the season 3, If they are planning to do otherwise sms voting process is inefficient and they have to think about another suitable way of choosing the superstar.....
