In this case (super star) the duty of dialog is just route the SMSes to 7788 port which belongs to Sirasa network. just like routing SMSes to ur mobile number which belogs to u. This service is provided for super star season 1 also, but only dialog subscribers   were able to vote. fortunately or unfortunately this time Sirasa were able to include all the SMS service providers to the system and this was the case i believe which went wrong and creates this situation. there is nothing wrong  with including all the mobile service provides with super star coz i believe the decision making opportunity which provided by this program should be available to everybody. but i personally believe the way they organized the voting setup is bit vulnerable in this scenario. In any kind of telecommunication there is an assumption which we need to accept. that is not all the subscribers are trying to use the public line at same time. this's becoz the bandwidth which we are using is shared among all users and it's very limited. this theory is applicable for GSM networks also. if u have past experience on making a call when Tsunami alerts on or try to SMS on 31 December , this is the case. every telecom service provider in this world is not capable to serve even their own customer base at once. this is a global issue and still telecom engineers researching on certain technologies to avoid it. this is the bad truth.what Dialog had to do on that day is, serve to all the SMS service providers at once(i believe i dont have to explain the process again since it has explained very clearly by the tread starter).the response to the show was unexpected. Dialog SMSC (this is the server which handling all the SMS requests) had to accept SMSes   routed from another 4 service providers apert from it's own subscribers. this is 5times growth from the last time. could u believe it is possible to accept all?The second argument which cames from surendra's fans were it was possible to vote pradeep but not surendra.this is not acceptable since withing the net work every data packet is treating on the same way.And as i started this discussion what dialog's duty was delivering SMS to 7788 subscriber.it's not checking the content of the data packet.without investigating the data packet, how can dialog treat those packets in 2 different way?and  I'll tell u somthing, my sister was a very big fan of pradeep and she couldn't able to send a single SMS to pradeep until the end of the voting time. this was the bad truth. people who couldn't vote for pradeep no longer blaming to any body since he's the winner anyway. And one impotent thing i have to mention to all the Dialog subscribers. if u have voted for the show, and if n only if ur SMS didn't deliver (doesn't matter whether u have voted to surendra or predeep) ur credits will be refunded in future.  Hope v will get better solution to satisfy everybody on super star season 3 by looking at pass experience. till then let's face to the reality of this season.cheers.........</blockquote>
