Exposing the Govt is a responsibility of other media since u definitely cant expect Rupavahini to do it........So u can't term this as being UNP as but enloghtning the general public, the massess........
FYI i have seen sirasa showing many developments done by the Govt, the good things achived by the Govt(Unfortunately the Govt hardly achieve anything)..................They always show the military advances......They even had a special segment as president diary.....Even the Poya dhina programme..So on what ground do you say that Sirasa is UNP ?? I am confused.......

The Rupavahini only shows Govt Good and all Bad(as per Govt) of opposition, mainly UNP......

Do you know the meaning of marketing ? The central pupose of marketing is indentifying the customers needs, in this instance the viewers and addressing it or satisfying it accordingly(Asitha i guess u could add some =thing on the marketing aspect)......So Sirasa has achieved it where as Rupavahini lags behind........Reason is viwers needs are satisfied.......So the central purpose of having a TV station is not understood to a certain extent by Rupavahini.......

On the Culturel aspect.......Media has a responsibility towards protecting the culture.....Very true..........Culture is not only nudity its far more than that................The culture you are talking is about sri lankan culture i presume.........If yes i have to say that none of the Sri lankan media abide by it.......Not even rupavahini.....

If i'm not wrong Culture also consists ethics as well.......We see very well these days how Rupavahini is faring where as ethic is concerned........As a Govt channel is has the responsibility to lead from the front..........Indeed its leading by so many mud slinging campaigns inflicted to who ever party oppose the Govt.............Is this Culture ? Even the sports setion is used for political mileage......My sister the other day said that MR's sons good behavior(according to Rupavahini) was shown in TV as some special news....Indeed using the Sons for political milegae(mekata api sinhalen kiyanney P_ _ A dhenawa kiyala).........I have no hate towrds those three chaps.........I think they are really good examples for other politically spoilt brats of the politicians of this country......

Bro u have got it wrong again........There is a difference between the Govt and a party....So please understand it first...Rupavahini is not a channel owned by a party(its run by state money and not PA's money) as in PA but the Govt which rules the country..........Did i say sirasa comply to ethics well ? So, is it good?

No other private channel is politically driven for that extent!
We cannot say Derana, Swarnawahini or even TNL political that far.
So you think that is a good thing about Sirasa

Rupavahini and other govt channels have to be loyal to the govt whatever the rule is. Isn't it? Even if there is a UNP rule (at least- dream -president Ranil ) those channels will be loyal to govt. That's the only fault of those channels. But when we consider about our culture, those channels don't harm to it, but Sirasa does. (Yes Derana and some other pvt channels also do.. but not that far Sirasa does)

I guess on the culturel aspect.......Especially programs of violence, nudity is more in Sirasa than others......You are true on this........
Indeed Rupavahini should be loyal to the Govt but not to UPFA,PA or UNP......
