Sri Lanka will seek the assistance of the United States Government to try exiled LTTE leader V Rudrakumaran living there as strong evidence has now emerged that Rudrakumaran had directly supported the LTTE, the national news agency website reported.

The Lankapuvath website said the Government was in possession of LTTE documents that revealed that Rudrakumaran had control over the LTTE shipping lines which had several ships in some countries.

Evidence further point out that Rudrakumaran had transferred US Dollars 300 million through the Tamil Rehabilitation Organization to buy modern weapons and powerful communication equipment from US based companies to be supplied to the LTTE.

In addition, Rudrakumaran at present is claiming to be the legal expert of the LTTE and is now preparing legal documents in support of LTTE cadres in the US to file action against military personnel of Sri Lanka, based in the US, the website reported.
