Well, Raaksha is creative in a different manner.. They have chosen a path many artists have forgotten. Specially with the new Hip hop and rap culture people have forgotten what we really are. Raaksha is a Hela metal band. Basically music is thrash+heavy+doom metal type. They have sinhalese lyrics and Yak bera in their music. Also, the songs are based on Our history, Our culture, Our demonology and stuff. It's a great to listen. Two tracks will be out soon. I'm not going to mention the names now cos then you won't get the same exitement when the tracks are out. Instead of listening to the sound that comes out from an electronic device, you should try them live. Thats the best way to know who "Raaksha" is..

It's not only black metal they follow. We have many generals in SL. It's just people are too ignorant to identify them. For example we have a technical death metal band all the way from Bandarawela. Technical death metal is not easy to play. We have two pure thrash bands from Kandy, Forsaken and Shut Down. We have Progressive-thrash bands like Merlock, Tantrum. We have a Brutal death metal band called Old Castle's Massacre. Fallen Grace is the best Melodic death metal band right now. We have Grunge bands like Paraniod Earthling which is an awesome band. With their music you can fly over the moon I will say.
Just stop for a moment and look around. You'll see its not only black metal in the sack.
