SL team leaves for Aussie tour
The Sri Lanka cricket team left for Australia yesterday (Oct. 23rd) for a two-match Test series.
Before departing to the airport, the players and officials participated in religious observances at Sri Lanka Cricket headquarters in Colombo and also posed for a group photograph.
The tour will be a memorable milestone for off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan, who hopes to claim the record for the highest number of Test wickets in the home country of Shane Warne who is the current holder with 708 scalps.
Marvan Atapattu makes a comeback to the team after eight months.
The first test starts in Brisbane on November 08th.
