Well for a certain extent it can, but then we have to develop those areas and give people jobs, and fullfil their needs.

And also educate them the truth, sinhalase and other nationals are also same as them, and can live in harmony without conflicts .

Then they will have some hope for life, so they'll think twice before getting into terrorist groups.

If you are talking about LTTE, my answer is "YES", if it cannot be beaten by war, it cannot be beaten by any other mean........................
If you have mixed that up with "Tamil Problem", Tamil Cause or creation of Eealam State...........my nswer is "NO", solution to Tamil problem is necessarily a political one................and.....................
There's no stopping the creation of Eealam state, it's only a matter of time...........question of "WHEN"

Guerilla wars cannot be won by just War.

By war GOSL have to show LTTE that they (LTTE) don't have any other option than negotiating a peace process through discussion.

Open your eyes... The Tamil person sitting next to you in the bus or in the University may be a Terrorist. That's the nature of Guerilla war. So that's why you can't win Guerilla wars by just weapons!

Well...I believe that the LTTE could be defeated by war....To do that, first we have to stop the inflow of money and arms which comes from other countries to them.......And most importantly we have to respect the normal Tamil population....Otherwise they might think that the LTTE's Elam concept is the only hope for them.....

you can'textinguish terrorisum by war!
If govt defeat LTTE and captured all areas (wish they will) but the terrorisum will not stop. they will raise funds and try to attck critical areas of SL.

Best way is bring them to the table. Discuss and turn them to the democratic way!
