SLT adsl problem - Disconnecting

From day before yesterday night it keeps on disconnecting after some time randomly. When i phoned, they said its a problem in central colombo and will be ok in about 3-4 hours. I am having the same problem from yesterday afternoon, they said they don't find any problems in the connection.

Is anyone else also having the same problem ?

I had the same problem. I called SLT and the techies came. They checked our line and said no problem with the line. They said it could be a problem with my router and to check with another router and see. I was using a US robotics router and then I got my friend's Prolink router and checked, surprisingly it didn't disconnect at all!
But the weird thing is my router is working fine with my friend's connection!

SLT techies couldn't find the reason behind the problem but it seems like they have changed something on the configuration that didn't play nice with my US robotics router.

So yea, try find another router(Prolink is good) and check with your connection.
