SLT BroadBand Fake....

i agree with all of u. slt is not enough educated abt adsl n all other latest tec. specially teleshop workers are real #@!@%^. last year i called gampaha telecom n had to make 5 call to five different ppl to get to know abt broadband. they actually get salary for nothing. regards to this matter actually entree package they sell as saying iGB download limit. i hav a 1 too. b4 i took it, i specially asked is it including surfing data or not. the teleshop manager herself told it is without surfing. u got that limit for downloading. few months back i got to pay extra 8++. but i didn't download any 1 file. only surf.

then i went to telecom manager and complaint. then he said sorry for the inconvenience occured by teleshop n explain me. the fact is entree package is 1GB data bundle. u use it to download or surf beyond 1 GB u got to pay extra 250MB Rs. 250/ n still i dunno how they calculate it.

be warn that make sure u don't exceed it n always check ur usage meter.

n home express z da ideal package for da huge downloaders....n mate u hav taken a wrng decision earlier to get da 1000/- package...

It's actually a bit of a HINDSIGHT kinda thing, baby.... U had to learn it da hard way... after it actually happened to u! U just got hit with a HUGE over-the-limit download fee (Rs. 250/- per every 250 MB after the limit)! It's a bit too late to tell u this, but well... I think it's a bit too harsh to call SLT Broadband a "fake." True, the staff in some offices can be quite slovenly, but in my case, when I got the Entree package first, the SLT guy who handled the case was very helpful - informed me about the 1 GB limit, told me to check the usage meter, and if I saw that my usage pattern fits the "heavy user" category, to upgrade to the Home Express package (which is exactly what I did, after just 5-6 days, when I got to know that 1GB was way too small for me!) My bills have been quite reasonable ever since. Anyway, u could easily have got the same info if u just visited the SLT website (http://www.sltnet.lk/) and checked "Services/Broadband."
Still for all, I have no complaints about SLT Broadband... I'm sure if not for it, many people in SL wouldn't have been able to enjoy the benefits of broadband this much.

Yeah those A.......H......S at Slt Suck Big time..........There are skilled and customer driven employees as well...........But the big picture is bad.......
I use the entree package............I applied 31st December and got it only during late feb i guess........Those dumb assess are not able to deliver as they promise....
At the current rend with more time on EK and downloads i would have switch to Home Express soon............Thanks for the timely post........

Slt ADSL Rs.1000/= doesn't suit us and they(slt adsl teleshop workers) don't even be kind to let us know that for the point.....

I talk from own experience...
i got at about Rs.20000/= + of a bill for now having the package that i am talking here...

Now i am switched 2 Home Express but i don't know how much i may have to pay b'coz the bill is still to come.....

So take Care.....

man check ur usage meter.
u may have exceeded the recommended downloadind limit.Its only upto 1GB.
Home express is ok.bt if u are not proffesionaly using internet 1000/= packege is ok.

CHECK THE USAGE METER AND USE IT

the 1000 package has a quota of 1gb rit??
that might be the change..
