Every exchange is having a repeater like device to capture the signal and to make the signal strong for re-broadcasting. But most of the time the signal strength limited to 3.5-4 Km. So to enjoy this service customers have to live near the exchange.</p><p></p><p>[About the Service]</p><p>This is a reliable service as long as the customer stays in the exchange area which is only 3.5-4Km. When talking about the quality of pictures it’s more close to the HD. Let’s say its somewhere around more than DVD quality. 40 channels are given free or given with the package. It’s pretty expensive for watching TV as their rental stays in 1000 LKR. HBO and many other good channels are excluded from the given al-a-cart menu by SLT. But they have offered facility's to order the channels via their system. All HBO channels worth 400LKR as an example. Cool Menu's and the most importantly time shifting (ability to rewind and watch) and Delay TV (ability to watch missed programs via 48hours). And many more facilities are provided.</p><p></p><p>[Comparison]</p><p>This is a good service; Comparison is not possible at this time since its still in the initial stage. But for now it’s better than Satellite Dish TV since there won’t be any harm from the weather and signal convergence is low. It has a good recording quality though.
