are you fucking crazy? what i said was the truth. both samsung and sony get their panels from S-LCD, a joint venture between Sony and Samsung.. and neither of them make their own LCD panels.

The fact about S-LCD is true. But the real picture quality is delivered by the image engine which are unique to the brand. Its just like having a good LCD monitor and a poor graphic card. So I'd say look for features like refresh rates and contrast handling. Price comes with some thing extra. But that some thing extra is not what we need always.
