You can check the Mitsubishi website they even say if the battery capacity is lost you can use the vehicle as a hybrid.acceleration wise other two cant beat the outlander as it is accelerated in the ev mode.only after about 50 km/h the engine kicks in directly to drive the  car otherwise it drives the electric motorsalso Sorento has a commen rail  engine which require super diesel so not very economical</blockquote>
