*delete that fake "ico_update.png"
*create a normal .png format picture, save it with the name ico_update, place it in that folder
*right-click on it, check/click on Read-Only so it cannot be changed/modified
*start the program normally, insert the key/serial, it's Activated and it stays like that!

machan replacing ico_update.png as mentioned above is the best and easiest solution, but whenever you connect to internet the app will try to request for updates so after a while you'd still get the serial blacklisted message. It really is a pain in the ass but you can keep doing that replacement thingy.
