Message: <blockquote data-quote="2osama" data-source="post: 30309571" data-attributes="member: 314982">Sri Lanka awards 1.5mn barrel petrol contract to Vitol Asia<img src="https://www.insights-global.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/11/Logo-Vitol.jpg" alt="" class="fr-fic fr-dii fr-draggable " style="" />ECONOMYNEXT – Sri Lanka’s Cabinet has approved awarding the contract to purchase 5 shipments of 92 unleaded petrol from December 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025 to Vitol Asia (Singapore) Pte Ltd, Cabinet spokesman Vijitha Herath said said.The 1.5 million barrels will be obtained on the basis of payment in 30 days through a Letter of Credit.Bids were called by the State-owned Ceylon Petroleum Corporation from registered suppliers for the long term contract, and 7 bids were received. 3 bids were rejected during the initial evaluation.The bid submitted by Vitol Asia (Pvt) Ltd in Singapore was recommended as the responsive bid by the cabinet-appointed special standing procurement committee and the standing technical evaluation committee.
