Sri Lanka should understand it should sell state assets instead of holding on to them. It would bring in desperately needed foreign reserves. Nothing is permanent in life. We would be able to pay back debt. We should sell all state enterprises and hold on to water and drainage department.

Most of Municipal assets such as street lighting, Garbage collection should be privatized.RMV should also be privatized. Trade mark and Business Registration should be privatized too.

If we keep on borrowing more money we would be in debt like China or America in Trillions of dollars. Merciless taxes people are being charged would make any government unpopular. The country should be less leveraged. We should not build fancy LRT which will cost the country dearly.Because the government will lose money as projected. The country should improve existing railways with Electric trains. Our Buses should be fully Electric. Our fishing Vessels should be solar and electric.

When Economic crisis hits USA. The Central Bank of Sri Lanka will go bankrupt due to US Dollar reserve becomes worthless. Like what happened to Greece. Central Bank should hold more Gold and Silver in Sri Lanka instead of USA or any other country. That is why Germany, Venezuela ,Turkey repatriated their Gold from USA.Only an idiot would trust FED.We should bring back our Gold.

Any Highly Leveraged company would go bankrupt. Due to rising Interest rates. Sri Lanka should block private or Government firms from becoming more Leveraged.

Why do you think foreign funds are pulling out of the stock exchange. It is because Stock market world wide expected to crash 90% of its value. The stock market was boosted by money printed by Central Banks which is called quantitative easing. Now they are taking it back.

People are expecting when US Dollar crashes , global currencies will go on Hyperinflation. At that time no matter how much fiat(paper) currency is printed currency of that country is worthless. Look at Zimbabwe and Venezuela. It is spreading world wide now to Sudan, etc.

People make money in business with more transactions not by holding on to assets. The Government should understand. Sri Lanka needs more Local Jobs not for Foreigners. But for skilled and unskilled workers of Sri Lanka.
