If Sri Lanka wants to fight back and stand on their feet. Sri Lanka should pay for imports in any other currency other than US Dollars. We should not pay in US Dollars. The Central Bank must not print currency . Instead it should repay the bonds. It would release cash into the market. Do not pay for interest in bonds in US Dollars instead pay it in Rupees. Convert all US Dollar bonds to Sri Lankan Rupees. Sri Lanka should not allow US Dollar Letter of Credit to be opened in banks. Use any other currency.
Sri Lanka should import tariff on Indian and Chinese imports if our Exports are blocked. Sri Lanka should not allow Indian Imports to exceed our exports. We are importing expensive cars when our black pepper cannot be exported to India. That is why balance of trade always in India's favor. We should fine tune our imports and exports. There is no point of Free Trade Agreement when other party blocks our exports.
Our politicians are sleeping. They do not want to fight global currency war. They already ran from battle field. Sri Lanka is drowning in Currency war.
