See India the Microsoft CEO is an Indian. There are quite a lot of sri lankans who are doing well, only issue is they may opt to invest in other countries due to political and other factors. So, we should attract their investment in SL with proper policies. But this applies to top earners. Average professional always come back to sl and thus invest in sri lanka. We should not only be proud of them but heavily indebted to them. We could not have won the war without the remittances and still continue to pay for war expences because of this. In America when the independence war was over massive taxes were slaped on the people. but we did not experience such because of remittances from abroad. So, try to understand the macro economic realities before making popular statements, due to jealousy</blockquote>
