It was the most beautiful mess I've seen in a while. I do hope that spin was intentional though. Wasn’t cartwheeling a part of there maneuver today? But it certainly careened too much to be called a controlled flight. Data, more data. That's what counts.

Several outer engines were failing too. One was clearly showing some sort of aberrant combustion.

ps: I couldn’t listen to the commentary, had to watch the stream like a deaf person.

Yes.. The Raptor engines started to become Craptors one after another. I believe at the time of take off about three failed. But they must have setup the launch computers to 'Go' at such failure. At the final stages about 8 engines have failed and this prevented the rocket to reach the orbital altitude. The shortfall was about 40kms.
Probably the uneven thrust caused the instability with rollover taking place but they haven't said anything so far. Let's see how they do in the future. You got to accept failures. With SpaceX things move pretty fast.
