Assalamu alaikum
As you all are aware the dengue menace has been a great problem in recent years in srilanka specially this year; so far more than 2000 have died and about 30,000 have been affected. In spite of the government spending millions it does not seemto be abating and we realise it is because the housewives, who are the main stake holders in the sense that they are the ones who suffer with the patients and they are the ones who can prevent dengue breeding, have to been included in the project to control dengue.
To this end Almuslimaath ahs started a program to educate and motivate the housewives and students to take some simple steps which will totally eradicate dengue within 3 months insha Allah.
This obviously will include not only the Muslims but all ethnic and religious groups of people.
We are conducting meetings, workshops and discussions on this subject.If anyone would like us to conduct a workshop on this we will be only too happy to do so.
We also intend to print simple instructions and distribute as leaflets to the households. The leaflets printed by the department is very cumbersome and crowded. 1000 leaflets cost Rs.1500
We also wish to print stickers to remind people to attend to this and distribute to the three wheelers, housewives, institutes and schools. 1000 stickers cost Rs. 2500
