The New 7 Wonders of the World campaign was a resounding success, in which more than 100 million votes were cast and which took democracy to a new global level, last year. Now, the second campaign organised by the non-profit New7Wonders Foundation, to choose the New 7 Wonders of Nature, is off to a promising start: So far 77 nominations were submitted including Sihnaraja Forest, by half a million people within the first few months of the campaign (by the time you read this news there would be several nominations submitted).
Hurry up!

Sinharaja Forest is now ranked 30 out of 77 nominees submitted so far
Sinharaja Forest Reserve, the National Park in Sri Lanka is a densely forested reserve, home to an incredible number of different trees and animal species, including amphibians, reptiles, birds, mammals and insects, is 21 kilometres from east to west and seven kilometres from north to south. The hilly virgin rainforest was saved from the worst of commercial logging by its inaccessibility.
Sinharaja Forest, ranked 30, is the current live ranking of the nominees to become a New 7 Wonder of Nature. The top 77 Official Nominees will be eligible for consideration by the New7Wonders of Nature Panel of Experts for inclusion in the group of 21 finalist candidates.

How to vote for Sinharaja Forest
To vote, you have one choice, but seven votes. To make it as easy as possible, the nominees are sorted into continents and regions. First, select the region and then click on a nominee in the drop-down menu. You must select seven different nominees.

How it works:
Voting for nominees will continue through 31.12.08. Then, a panel of experts will create a list of 21 candidates from which voters worldwide will elect the New 7 Wonders of Nature. The New7Wonders Panel of Experts, under the leadership of Prof. Federico Mayor, former Director-General of UNESCO, will select the 21 Finalists from the top-ranked Official Supported Nominees (to ensure the fairness of the process, the names of the Panel of Experts will be released after their decision has been made). The 21 finalists will then be put to popular vote. The ranking is updated twice a day.

But . . .

There are lots of ministires, minsiters, deputy or what ever ministers, departments, agents, consulates, embassies and 1000s of people get paid by goverment.

This is there duty and most of them asking people to do something.

General community love and like our country. But is there any support for this kind of things from any one?
