As you already know Ninda Noyana Handawe (2004) song by Iraj has been copied by an Indian film called Vilaiyattu. They have refused to remove this song and they are going to release this film very soon. So Iraj going to take legal action about this and he needs your support!

We are going to support srilankan music and srilankan talent by making a whole thread with your votes and comments about this matter. We are planning present this as sound of srilankan people against this injustice in the courts.

hi machan the thing is legally reproducing music is something and illegally reproducing music is another thing.
So don't mix that bro.
That director don't want to put any name he just going to publish as it is.
You may not like him and you may not belive its Iraj's creation how much others tell you.

machan there is a law about reproducing other peoples creations.
So reproducing not gonna make any problem if its legal. We are talking about illegal reproduction of music and not even accepting it and making money out of it.
That should be completely stopped.

Anyway if anyone reproduced indian or any type of music illegally, then they will get sued when the respective parties who own the original content take action against them in the court.

yeah of course. Anyway, with or without our comments Iraj will win the case. Its a matter about intellectual property. If he has copy rights over that song he will be protected by the international law. If the Indian film producer is still gonna release that film, he will have to pay royalty to Iraj plus compensation.
