This is so wrong!! A great piece of music has been violated by the Music Director of that Indian Film. This cope of our own original song "Ninda Noyana Handaawe" should be removed from this film right away as it is illegal!! Don't copr Sri Lankan music....and even without permission!!

As a Sri Lankan I vote and comment and plea the right authorities to take immediate actions, and remove this copied song from that Indian film right away!!
Don't harm Sri Lankan originality!!

machan there is a law about reproducing other peoples creations.
So reproducing not gonna make any problem if its legal. We are talking about illegal reproduction of music and not even accepting it and making money out of it.
That should be completely stopped.

Anyway if anyone reproduced indian or any type of music illegally, then they will get sued when the respective parties who own the original content take action against them in the court.

Then may be you don't know machan. There are lot of factors they consider when it comes to copy right law. Age of the track is one.

It's less than 50 years old. The film was first intheatre in 1959. Iraj did it about 3 yeas back. So only 45 years have elapsed.

Then even if it's more than 50 years, there is a moral obligation not to copy blatently

Well as you know when you talk about open source factors there is something about improving the level or going to the next step/version.
I see it like that, music also should be reproduced with real rights from the original owners. It can be great improvement based on old song or the old melody.
In the same time it can be a total disaster. It depends on the person who doing it.
So as i think music also should be improved if the author or the owner allows it. But should be done with total care which will improve the old track and will create something better.
