bro how you know those stats are correct. Lets say they are correct then why don't they come and sue iraj or BNS according to international copyright law?
So machan as i see it may be based on the indian track but they have rights for that too. You can see that track played by BNS too. There is a video done by BNS for that too. And BNS doing a album exclusively for india with hindi lyrics too. So they should also get sued. right? They even promoting album in India.
So machan don't comment if you really don't know they have rights or not.

Machan coping should be stopped! Coz sooner or later they will get sued. Srilankan, Indian, American or [SIZE=-1]even Icelanders. It has no life. You can't take it to international level or publish it as international record label. It has no value. May have some value now coz srilanka still closed to legal music world.
But it will end very soon. So helping our younger generation to copy is like ruining their whole music future.

Still the same machan. The new track of Aloke. It's an Universal Music labeled Album. Its officially launched and legal to sell around the world.
Just check any CDDB around the world they will give track names and lot of information plus photos of the album. Just try playing it on any well known player not even as audio CD just as mp3 still you get all info.

So its internationally distributed to the max and why no one sue him or go to caught against this? You know how the owners went to court against Sirisangabodi track reproduction right? So why not for this?? got a clue?

When i said these thing all of u guys laughed... all of them said that Iraj BnS right and they can copy( copyright thing dsnt matter.. its abt creativity) .. they bring international music to Sl .. blah blah......blah AND now...... ask from lich.
and most of u guys know that i appreciate Kasun Kalhara Music n Singin BUT after i found out abt that mal mitak thing i really dnt appricate his composing ability to that much.... bt still i admire his singing..... i tld u b4 u pull this KK issue.

I told you anything like copying music is okay? Never. If you can show me please.
So don't tell them to me. And in the other hand you were shouting against BNS and other artists without knowing they have rights for those media.

I normally don't join these music fights coz its worthless and ppl not talking based on any facts. Just emotions going around and people talking very bias favoring their likeness. But i am talking now coz its our duty to speak now as the biggest srilankan community and the community built around srilankan music.
Iraj was one of our srilankan artists who needs some help so here we are in the name of biggest srilankan music site. I will do the same to Kasun or Amaradewa or any srilankan artist if they need it.

As i said earlier Iraj, BNS, Kasun or even Indian musicians can reproduce music according to the copyright law. Reproducing music is not a bad thing. You should get rights from the original owners and use your creativity to make something better out of what you get from the original artist. At least try to do that.
Music also something you can improve. Now as an example if you take new inventions they have their patents. But with the license from the original patent owner you can improve it.
There are two ways, start from scratch or start from where other people have stopped before. If done well both ways can give perfect outcomes and both ways will get credit depending on the talent of that person.

The problem is that Jikki is dead now. People who are owing the rights may not be aware or there is no legal cover for her songs. Even if Iraj has the rights (or if t is public domain) he has blatantly copied the song. Here is the original song. See how blatantly Iraj as copied it. Even vocals from Jikki (Krishna Veni) is in Mata Aloke song. Using the voice of the first singer is like stealing the song.

Sirisangabodhi is from Sirisangabo nadagama, which was theatered in 1920s, apprx. 90 years before. So the song is in public domain according to Intellectual property act. So your argument is totally wrong.
