    Guys,

Between DevOps, network engineering, and security engineering which niche area have most of intern as well as full time opportunities?

I have been obsessed with the security thing, but realized there are no real security jobs here tbh. I had to waste my early 20s cause depression, and don't have academic - dropped out. Just wanna earn some good money to survive and learn my craft in vulnerability research.

Should I focus on DevOps concepts next few months?

PS: passed CCNA 200-300, may be able to take a cloud entry level exam as well...

    TIA

Honestly It's gonna be hard for you new comers. Due to high number of unemployed IT graduates salaries will start to stagnate pretty soon. There will be a huge pay gap between highly technical+business skilled and just skilled employees. If you easily get depressed try to change your career IT is not so lavish anymore. If you are really skilled in IT you are already rich.

What about a developer with 6+ years of experience but without a degree?

Developer in what? Sri Lankan IT employers just award employees with titles just for the sake of retention. Degree doesn't matter as long as you are good at what you do.But keep presence online to get through interviews. If your online presence is good recruiters will get to you. Technology evolves and It takes time to grab these IT stuff and when you get older and have family responsibilities time runs fast.If you are still young keep that in mind. learn and develop management skills when you grow older. It might be stressful but it will give you time to spend with family.Just my 2 cents.

In most cases (like for immigration or applying for a work visa), pre-degree work experience won't be considered "work experience".

You cannot just jump into "vulnerability research." Start with DevOps or SE and learn the basics. At this point, you don't know what you don't know. I would say do some DevOps stuff, then get some certification like AWS Security Specitiy, CKS, or something then jump into DevSecOps.

Because without experience, certifications are worthless. I do interview candidates and I don't give a fuck about certification unless that candidate has some experience.

My tech stack is React .Net / MERN
    Currently, I'm learning GoLang

Btw, I'm 28, single & living with my parents.
Would you believe that I'm still young?
Yes you are leverage that.Build your social skills and have a plan for your retirement if you have not.If you have some extra time do a postgrad.Just for the sake of having some Paper qualifications.

Most companies do not hire DevOps interns, as it is a high-level, focused job. If you are a developer, transitioning to DevOps is the most suitable way to enter the field. Development roles offer the most opportunities, and your knowledge of DevOps will be an added advantage.
