I don't know the meaning of the song. But if its the rest of the items of the song you are talking about,the melody is the part which plays the major role in making the song popular.

making the melody is one of the most challenging part in making a song. So, if you say that the teri meri song is beautiful, credit should go to the original composer of the melody.

what I see is, its just the same melody pimped up with some "lapai sipai" indian features.
