In the middle of 1945 at end of the 2nd world war. Japanese empire was losing many resources including humans and properties.it was a great disaster cause many people sacrificed their own lives for their mother country and for the nation and honor.wars haven't been tastes for human civilization since began of their first fights. it always brings devastation,unfortunate.
To capture the mainland of the Japanese empire the Allied forces should have invaded this land of IwoJima in order to make it airbases to raise flights and bomb on tokyo. this situation was important for both allied and axis so Japanese forces should have resisted in order to not being captured the mainland. both parties fought heavily and many casualties were reported. it was around 6,812 in American side and 18,375 in Axis's side.
it seems Japanese forces lost almost every men fought against Americans. there were many movies were based about this plot. and Flags of Our Fathers was about how American soldiers faced to the war. and the Letters from Iwo Jima was about the Japaesne side but the entire movie in Japanese but for comfortable of majorities the English subtitles were included.both movies represent the devastation,unfortunate,sadness in both parties and can get a better idea about wars and its backside also the people who fight in the wars.
