1. No gambling
2. No pirate software (Megaupload, Rapidshare)
3. No MP3 songs, Music Video (Elakiri.com, Youtube.com etc).
4. No Social Networking (Facebook, Tweeter etc.)
5. No information databases that quote information from sources such as books (ie. Wikipedia)
6. No Pornography (All sites will be shutdown, linking sites, e-mails sued in court)
7. No proxy access or unknown protocol access such encrypted proxy allowed.
8. No Torrents (uTorrent etc.)
9. Data filtered access (words in pages will be removed by ISP servers), communication ports limited.
10. All access logged usage recorded, called to court and jailed if illegal work is done.
11. E-mail attachments are to be approved manually, no sharing of the above blocked through e-mail (mp3s, videos, porn etc.)
THIS WILL BE THE FUTURE OF THE INTERNET! ENJOY!
AND THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!! BUT SIT AND WAIT FOR IT TO HAPPEN! BECAUSE THE USA AND EUROPE ARE GOING TO DO IT! AND ALL OTHER COUNTRIES LIKE US WILL FOLLOW IT!
WHAT CAN WE (United) DO?
Form a representative body for the Sri Lankan Internet! And ask his Excellency the President to remove government control over the internet and ask Global unions to support it.
If we apposed the blocking of Tamilnet a few years ago, this wouldn't have happened (it was the right thing, but it laid the foundation stone for blocking access and destroyed the Openness of Internet). We need a Free and OPEN internet in Sri Lanka, we need to control factors like porn access through user choice (parental control). And allow a OPEN internet in Sri Lanka. Then we can take it to the world as an example!
