The HTC Sensation XE is a recently released handset from HTC, which delivers excellent performance in many ways. The handset utilises an extremely fast 1.5 GHz dual core processor, coupled with the gingerbread version of the android operating system, all of which is contained in a unit which has dimensions of 126 mm x 65 mm wide whilst being 11 mm thick and weighing 151 g in weight.
The units display screen is an S-LCD capacitive display screen which provides touch screen functionality, and outstanding quality imagery by virtue of the fact that it displays 16 million colours within a pixel screen resolution which is quoted at 540 x 960 pixels. The screen size itself is 4.3 inches in size. In terms of navigation the handset utilises the HTC sense user interface, coupled with a variety of touch sensitive controls whilst also offering accelerometer, proximity and gyroscope sensors.
The unit comes with ring and vibration alert options with the ability to utilise MP3 and WAV ringtones, whilst also offering a loudspeaker, 3.5 mm Jack as well as call records and a phone book which retains practically unlimited numbers of entries and also provides photo call capability. In terms of memory, the unit comes with a 4 GB internal capacity, of which 1 GB is user available, however this can be significantly increase by utilising the micro-SD card slot which can be utilised to increase the memory capacity up to 32 GB.
The unit comes with high-speed Internet access, through its own 3G connection, offering the means to access the net at speeds of up to 14.4 MB, whilst the alternative option of accessing available hotspots is provided by the Wi Fi connection. The unit also comes with Bluetooth and micro-USB connectivity whilst also providing the user with EDGE and GPRS connections. The handset comes with GPS functionality, whilst also providing SMS, MMS, a mall and push e-mail capability.
The unit provides additional functionality in the form of an 8.0 megapixel camera, which records video at 1080 pixels and at 30 frames per second, whilst offering a secondary VGA front facing camera as well. In addition beats audio functionality is provided as is a beats headset, whilst a stereo FM radio with RDS is included as is a selection of games, Google related functions and features as well as an MP4/MP3 multimedia player.
The HTC Sensation XE, which in many ways is like the HTC ChaCha, offers impressive functionality, innovative technology and beats audio.
