The Jaathika Sangha Sammelayanaya (JSS) met in Colombo on the 03rd March to reach a national consensus on urgent issues facing Sri Lanka. Over 200 members of the Sangha and about 150 lay persons from 13 districts attended the meeting held at the Mahaweli Centre.
Among the decisions made at the meeting were the establishment of a National Concil and the formultion of a national economic policy.
JSS Officers including Ven,Induragare Dhammarathana Thero, Ven.Rajawaththe Wappa Thero, Ven.Nakulugamuwe Wimalarathana Thero, Ven.Dutuwawe LankaNanda Thero and Others were participated. JHU Parliamentarian Athuraliye Rathana Thero, Environmentalist Asoka Abegunawardena, President of the Lanka Foundation Ariyaseela Wicremanayake were also addressed the gathering.
