The Major Sins
--Al-Kaba'r--

The major sins are those acts which have been forbidden by Allah in the Quran and by His Messenger (SAW) in the Sunnah (practise of the Prophet), and which have been made clear by the actions of of the first righteous generation of Muslims, the Companions of the Prophet (SAW).
Allah Most High says in His Glorious Book:
If you avoid the major (part) of what you have been forbidden (to do), We will cancel out for you your (other) evil deeds and will admit you (to Paradise) with a noble entry. (al-Nisa 4:31)
Thus by this verse, Allah Most High has guaranteed the Garden of Paradise to those who avoid the major sins. And Allah Most High also says:
Those who avoid the greatest of sins and indecencies, and forgive when they are angry (al-Shra 42:37) Those who avoid the greatest sins and indecencies, except for oversights, (will find that) surely your Lord is ample in forgiveness. (Al-Najm 53:32)
The Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: "The five [daily] prayers, Friday to Friday, and Ramadan to Ramadan make atonement for what has happenned since the previous one when major sins have been avoided." It is therefore very important to determine exactly what the greatest vices, technically called "the major sins" (Kaba'ir), are, in order that Muslims should avoid them.
There is some difference of opinion among scholars in this regard. Some say these major sins are seven, and in support of their position they quote the tradition: "Avoid the seven noxious things"- and after having said this, the propeht (SAW) mentioned them: "associating anything with Allah; magic; killing one whom Allah has declared inviolate without a just case, consuming the property of an orphan, devouring usury, turning back when the army advances, and slandering chaste women who are believers but indiscreet." (Bukhari and Muslim)
'Abdullah ibn 'Abbas said: "Seventy is closer to their number than seven," and indeed that is correct. The above tradition does not limit the major sins to those mentioned in it. Rather, it points to the type of sins which fall into the category of "major." These include those crimes which call for a prescribed punishment (HADD; plural, HUDUD), such as theft, fornication or adultery (ZINA), and murder; those prohibited acts for which a warning of a severe punishment in the Next is given in the Qur'an or the tradition; and also those deeds which are cursed by our Prophet (SAW). These are all major sins.
Of course, there is a gradation among them, since some are more serious than others. We see that the Prophet (SAW) has included SHIRK (associating someone or something with Allah) among them, and from the text of the Qur'an we know that a person who commits SHIRK will not his sin be forgiven and will remain in Hell forever. Allah Most High says: Surely, Allah does not forgive associating anything with Him, and He forgives whatever is other than that to whomever He wills. (al-Nisa 4:48 and 116)

THERE IS NO RECARNATION IN ISLAM BUT THERE IS RESURRECTION IN ISLAM
We Muslims Call it Day Of Resurrection or Day Of Judgment

Humankind, the jinnhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Genie, and all other living beings will be Resurrected and gathered upon a vast, white, featureless ground, in order to question their deeds by Allah Almighty under intense heat of the Sun overhead.

Regarding Deeds The Glorious Al Qur’an states that even the smallest acts of the believers will not be wasted. "anyone who has an atom's worth of goodness will see it and anyone who has done an atom's worth of evil will also see it" (Qur'an 99:7-8).

Those who do good if they are Muslims or the follower of religion before Islam (when Islam itself has not revealed, like Christianity, Judaism, that were later superseded by Islam), will be rewarded not only in this world but also in the world hereafter. However, the final Judgment is up to God himself. (Qur'an 2:62

What Muslims think about Lord Buddha ?
    The Glorious Al Qur’an states

“And undoubtedly, We sent many Messengers before you, of them, there are some whose story We have narrated to you, and there are some whose story We have not narrated to you, and it is not for any Messenger that he should bring any sign without Allah's permission, but when the command of Allah will come, the matter shall be decided with truth, and then the men of falsehood shall lose there."

"And certainly We sent messengers (rasul) before you: there are some of them that We have mentioned to you and there are others whom We have not mentioned to you..." Qur'an 40:78
"For We assuredly sent amongst every People a messenger..."Qur'an 16:36
Muslims believe that God has sent over 124,000 messengers all over the world as mentioned in the Sahih Hadith.

Analyze the above Quran Verses and the sahih hadeeth we can say may be Buddha can be a Messenger of Allah / God Almighty. In Glorious Al Quran It’s mentioned about a person called Dhul Kifl

Allah the Almighty declared : Remember Ishmael and Idris and Dhul Kifl, all were from among those who observe patience. (Ch 21:85-86 Quran).

Allah directed: Remember Our slaves, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob (all) owners of strength (in worshipping Us) and also of religious understanding. Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing ) the remembrance of the home (in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter). And they are in Our Sight, verily of the chosen and the best! Remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhul Kifl all are among the best. (Ch 38:45-48 Quran).

Ibn Jarir narrated that he was not a prophet but he was a righteous man. He supported his people to suffice their needs and administrated justice among them. That is why he was called Dhul Kifl. (means possessor of, or giving, a double requital or portion)
some Islamic scholar arguing that Dhul Kifl is referring to Buddha in Al Quran. However it is not yet proved that Buddha is a messenger of Islam so it is remain as a theory. but theories can be facts in the fututre God Knows Best ……….

Five (sometimes known as Ulul Azmi or the Imams — i.e. leaders — of the Rasuls) are accorded the highest reverence for their perseverance and unusually strong commitment to God in the face of great suffering. These five are Nuh (Noah), Ibrahim (Abraham), Musa (Moses), Isa (Jesus), and Muhammad.

    thank you Y2K brother

    Opinions about Dhul-Kifl

Some Muslims, following the view of Muhammad ibn Jarir al-Tabari, hold that Dhul-Kifl was a righteous man who supported his people and administered true justice, but not a prophet. Baidawi asserted that Dhul-Kifl corresponds with the Jewish prophet Ezekiel, who was carried away to Babylon in chains and bore his duress patiently. A tomb said to be that of Dhul-Kifl can be seen in the town of Al Kifl, Iraq, near Najaf and Al Hillah. Others believed that he was a prophet. An opinion that has gained popularity in recent times is that Dhul-Kifl refers to Gautama Buddha, the founder of Buddhism; Kifl being an Arabicised version of Kapilavastu the place where the Buddha was born.

No, at all. How about non-Muslims, non-neigbors and non-arrogant ones? That will describe 70% of the world population.

Wife, servant, weak and animals are in the same line, where males get a sperate line. So that means wife, servant, weak and animals are put in same category? Then chaste = unmariied. What about married women?

I am waiting for your answer on slavery.

    Current situation in global slavery

Although outlawed in nearly all countries today, forms of slavery still exist in some parts of the world. [1][2] According to a broad definition of slavery used by Kevin Bales of Free the Slaves (FTS), an advocacy group linked with Anti-Slavery International, there are 27 million people (although some put the number as high as 200 million) in virtual slavery today, spread all over the world.[3] According to FTS, these slaves represent the largest number of people that has ever been in slavery at any point in world history and the smallest percentage of the total human population that has ever been enslaved at once.
FTS claims that present-day slaves have been sold for as little as US$40, in Mali, for young adult male laborers, or as much as US$1,000 in Thailand for HIV-free, young females, suitable for work in brothels. The lower limit represents the lowest price that there has ever been for a slave: the price of a comparable male slave in 1850 in the United States would have been about US$25,800 in present-day terms[4] (US$1,000 in 1850). That difference, even allowing for differences in purchasing power, is significant. It is probably due to the fact of today's greater population, making human life cheaper.[citation needed] As a result of the lower price, the economic advantages of present-day slavery are clear.[clarify]
Enslavement is also taking place in parts of Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia.[5] The Middle East Quarterly reports that slavery is still endemic in Sudan.[6] In June and July 2007, 570 people who had been enslaved by brick manufacturers in Shanxi and Henan were freed by the Chinese government.[7] Among those rescued were 69 children.[8] In response, the Chinese government assembled a force of 35,000 police to check northern Chinese brick kilns for slaves, sent dozens of kiln supervisors to prison, punished 95 officials in Shanxi province for dereliction of duty, and sentenced one kiln foreman to death for killing an enslaved worker.[7]
In Mauritania alone, it is estimated that up to 600,000 men, women and children, or 20% of the population, are enslaved, many of them used as bonded labour.[9][10] Slavery in Mauritania was criminalized in August 2007.[11] In Niger, slavery is also a current phenomenon. A Nigerian study has found that more than 800,000 people are enslaved, almost 8% of the population.[12][13][14] Pygmies, the people of Central Africa's rain forest,[15] live in servitude to the Bantus.[16] Some tribal sheiks in Iraq still keep blacks, called Abd, which means servant or slave in Arabic, as slaves.[17] Child slavery has commonly been used in the production of cash crops and mining. According to the U.S. Department of State, more than 109,000 children were working on cocoa farms alone in Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast) in 'the worst forms of child labor' in 2002.[18]
In November 2006, the International Labour Organization announced it will be seeking "to prosecute members of the ruling Myanmar junta for crimes against humanity" over the continuous forced labour of its citizens by the military at the International Court of Justice.[19][20] According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), an estimated 800,000 people are subject to forced labour in Myanmar.[21][22]
