Several documents related to the Pfizer vaccine previously not released to the pubic has been just released under FOI, with a Court Order. These should have been made public long ago and it's quite alarming. It appears to be a scandal even though it's not widely taken up by most mainstream News Media.

A non-profit group of health professionals, scientists, news reporters & the general public called the "Pubic Health & Medical Professionals for Transparency" launched a court case insisting that the FDA releases these documents. The FDA should have released these in the interest of the public as then other Medical & the Scientists around could make an independent assessment of the vaccines. :(

Here's just a brief of what's come out....

It is estimated that approximately xxxx (redacted) doses of BNT162b2 were shipped worldwide from the receipt of the first temporary authorisation for emergency supply on 01 December 2020 through 28 February 2021. Cumulatively, through 28 February 2021, there was a total of 42,086 case reports (25,379 medically confirmed and 16,707 non-medically confirmed) containing 158,893 events. Most cases (34,762) were received from United States (13,739), United Kingdom (13,404) Italy (2,578), Germany (1913), France (1506), Portugal (866) and Spain (756); the remaining 7,324 were distributed among 56 other countries.

    There has been 1223 fatalities....:(

This is the first time that these documents came out and note that when Pfizer applied for FDA approval, they were aware of almost 158,000 adverse events from their vaccine and requested these documents remain sealed for 75 years.
Fortunately a sensible federal judge in Texas ordered the Food and Drug Administration to make public the data it relied on to license Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine.

There are heaps of documents to go through and hopefully the scientific community will go through and come out with further anlaysis. FDA has approved the vacccine by saying there's a risk benefit even with these side effects. :oo:
This is not surprising only surprising thing is that there was a need for court order to release such data.
Just to compare this with existing vaccines , do we have long terms data for other common vaccines such as MMR, Rabies, etc . First do we collect (Sri Lanka) such cases with vaccine complications and do companies collect (I believe patents for these vaccines expire so many may companies other than inventor making it)?
Aren't most or all vaccines are having issues and is it the reason that no vaccine had ever got approval so fast?
    Evena
No vaccine is 100% effective on an entire population. This is because immune responses vary from person to person.
“The 1,223 deaths were actually amongst approximately 10,000,000 vaccine recipients giving an overall mortality rate of 0.01 per cent or 1 in 10,000 persons,” according to Dr. Gerald Evans, chair of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Queen’s University.
“Most were deaths from other causes occurring in persons who happened to have been vaccinated and were not caused by the vaccine itself,” he said.
A vaccine might not be 100% effective, but if most people get vaccinated, it not only protects individuals, but also prevents the virus from circulating, spreading widely in a community.
So go ahead and get vaccinated!
This vaccine had gathered this information and we should be happy at least there were such information to be reveled through an order of court. What about Sinophrm?

Correct.. My concerns was about the FDA. Not really about Pfizer per-se. No one ever trusts big-pharma. There have been so many scandals before, many articles and books have been written.
Read the recent book (circa 2019) "The Bottle of Lies" which exposed the dark side of the Generic Drugs mainly with Ranbaxy. It's a nice read.

FDA has a responsibility being the governing body. They have to be more responsible and accountable to the public in these situations. The lawsuit was filed in last December by the "Public Health and Medical Professionals for Transparency"
FDA stated that it could take up to 55 years to process and release that information. That would be until the year 2076 when many of the people who made, approved, and received the vaccine would long be dead, the complainants argued, a quite valid point.

As for your other query, Yes - vaccine effects are recorded. In the US the VAERS system (Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System) covers all vaccines licensed and also there are others like CISA (Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment) monitoring. These existed long before Covid vaccines.

PS: The Sinopharm experts are here on this forum. These duds know more than the Chinese do on this vaccine. :P
