A dead give away that Lord Buddha was not referring to the not yet born Mohammed, is his very saying that this person will preach teachings similar to that of his. The Lord Buddha's teachings are distinctly different to that of Mohammed's. For example: -Lord Buddha taught compassion toward all animals, even the tiny ant. He deemed taking the life of any living being a sin. Mohammed on the other hand embraced animal sacrifice on holy days, and said animals are simply available for us to use, including for food. -Lord Buddha never taught hatred toward "disbelievers". He never made surmons labelling people who chose not to believe his teachings as "disbelievers".  -Lord Buddha did not spread his teachings by the sword, as Mohammed did. -Lord Buddha respected women, never considered women as secondary citizens, or slaves as Mohammed did -Lord Buddha did not encourage slavery as Mohammed did -Lord Buddha bore no hatred towards anyone, not even those that tried to bring him down. Mohammed on the other hand killed and called for the beheading of his enemies. Even had a nursing mother killed in the dead of the night, because she said some deragatory things about him. -Lord Buddha did not crave for wealth or lust. He was a simple man, whereas Mohammed raged wars, took the booty, made captive women slaves and had several wives, including 9 year old Aisha! Now lets get back to Lord Buddha's prophecy of a great person with teachings similar to his. Think it is Mohammed? I think NOT.</blockquote>
