The Minnal (Lightning) programme produced by him has become popular among Tamil viewers as the programme is believed to speak the truth without any fear. However, the truth is that Sri Ranga is an executive committee member of Namal Rajapaksa’s Tharunyata Hetak organization. He works closely with Namal Rajapaksa. Sri Ranga plays a key role in preparing Namal Rajapaksa to become the next in line to head the government that treats the Tamil community as second grade citizens. We have no doubts over Sri Ranga’s right to support either President Mahinda Rajapaksa or Namal Rajapaksa. It is however, sad to see the hero among the Tamil people misleading them in real life.
