The executive producers of The Vampire Diaries DVD Box set have revealed that they don't want to copy Twilight.
Kevin Williamson told Deadline that he was concerned that the stories were too similar when he read The Vampire Diaries DVD Box set novel.
"[But] when I continued on, Torchwood Seasons 1-2 DVD Box SetI realised that they are really two completely different worlds, two different stories," he explained. Spartacus: Blood And Sand DVD Box Set"We thought if we're given a chance, if people stick with us, they'll see this is not Twilight."
Meanwhile, Torchwood Box Set 1-2fellow showrunner Julie Plec revealed that the duo initially had doubts about the series appearing on The CW.

Williamson added that he avoids other vampire stories such as Twilight and True Blood DVD Box Set because he doesn't want to copy them.
