~~~~The Window~~~~
Love crept through the window unbeknowns to me
It touched my heart and soul
And left it's mark on me,
Then one day it went as quickly as it came
Left me in deep sorrow, a broken heart to mend,
I closed the window to keep the sorrow in
Forgot about the world out there
The world that I lived in,
Days and nights passed right by, by the window bright
Then it caught my eye, this tiny little mite,
It whistled outside the window on the branch long and tall,
This sweet little red breasted bird, made me a call
I opened up the window to let birdy come closer to me.
He told me of his adventures far across the sea,
Of how he travelled many miles to reach this very tree,
And I thought how lucky, this dear sweet birdy made it back to me.
