The world we live in is not complete,

Well before the first bomb hits the ground,
Plagued with indifference, the innocent become the guilty.
They can no longer hear the voice of God.
And silence has become their favorite sound.

Wishing each other completely out of existence,
To gain a better place in line, the larger piece of cake,
A parking space just a little closer to the door.
Results become apparent when there is no longer resistance.

Swiftly, the damaged becomes the damned.
The spirit is not wounded by weapon,
Minds suffer from restless roaming,
And we fear what we do not understand.

We have forgotten what holds the true worth.
Anger builds as we thwart our addictions,
And we have forgotten the lessons of our experiences.
Die and you win heaven, live and inherit the earth.

Deathlessly dwelling among the already dead,
Prepared to destroy the sin of the sinner,
Unable to decipher the righteous from the right.
Where are His children? Why have they all fled?
