That is a stupid question and stupid answer, why we always need something from friends or other people. I have so many guy friends and female friends, i don't expect anything from them, just being a nice friend to me is more than enough, why we always have to expect things from other people.

If someone is always expecting something from friends then he/she is a shitty person and shouldn't be a friend.

You don’t even expect their time or presence?

i don't have an expectation like they have to spend their time, if they can that is great, if they can not no hard feelings.
If we do something together, like dinner out/ go for movies we all spend our time willingly, not because others are expecting to spend our time for them/he/she.

If you don't expect anything from them you'll practically aren't friends. All relationships are based on expectations - give and take.

So you are saying, one must spend their time(or something else) to become one your friend? that is horrible
Whether that's horrible or not is subjective but that's how relationships generally work in the real world.
If I am feeling down or have something to talk about, I would certainly expect my ''friends'' to spend their time with me.
Even when you meet up with friends, didn't one ''friend'' always initiate the meeting? That's that friend's expectation of you spending your time with them.
