Coz of the menstrual cycle the body is used to have that much of protein and stuff ne. So if you're a vegitarian from the begining that doesn't matter. But if you convert it to veg later, then you might need to take more energy I guess...
(Not sure.. just what I thought )

Anyway humans are not shaaka bhakshaka. we are sarwa bhakshaka. So I don't believe in acting against the nature
