Thirst movie, a horror drama directed by Chan-wook Park, about a religious man who is turned into a vampire due to a failed experiment. Sang-hyun (Song Kang-ho) is a beloved and devoted priest who cherishes life. He selflessly volunteers to participate in a secret vaccine development project which if successful, can help destroy a deadly virus. Unfortunately, the experiment fails, with Sang-hyun becoming infected by the virus, which forces him to undergo an immediate blood transfusion. However, the blood that Sang-hyun receives is infected with something more deadly which gives him life but also turns him into a vampire. Struggling with his physical and psychological changes, Sang-hyun’s faith is further put to test when Tae-ju (Kim Ok-vin), the wife of his childhood friend, comes to him and seeks his help in escaping from her repressed and tired mundane life. As Sang-hyun starts having an affair with Tae-ju, the former priest finds himself plunging into a world of sensual pleasures and struggling to maintain the remains of his humanity.
