There was nothing regarding the deferment of the election beside requesting to support their faction in the upcoming election. Simply put, when everybody is seeking protection, they are concerned about an election.All comparisons aside, this is the true nature of Sri Lanka. Every ruler who came to power only talked about power and the consideration of keeping it as long as they need even at times the entire country is suffering the shadows of a probable crisis.
