I will get to it without wasting your time. I can't eat rice. That's the thing. I mean, it's like an allergy/intolerance. You might know that some people are allergic/intolerable to certain things, consuming which might cause them to suffer in some ways. For instance, Peanuts, Tomatoes, Sea Foods, Milk, etc. The effects can be vary from skin issues, swelling, respiratory issues, vomiting or even life-threatening conditions. The reaction I'd have if I try to eat rice is vomiting. I've been suffering from this condition since I was very little. My parent have tried a lot to make me eat. But, none of those efforts have been fruitful. When I was growing up, I myself have tried a several times. But, it's hard. Simply, I don't even like to touch it.</span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Microsoft Sans Serif'"><span style="font-size: 12px"></span></span></p><p><span style="font-family: 'Microsoft Sans Serif'"><span style="font-size: 12px"></span></span> <span style="font-family: 'Microsoft Sans Serif'"><span style="font-size: 12px">As Sri Lankans, I don't want to tell you how eating rice is rooted in such countries like ours. It's deeply connected with our culture & everything. Try to imagine the hard times & embarrassments I've been facing my whole life. It's very difficult to make others understand about personal stuff. & when it comes to something uncommon like this, it just get more difficult. Sometimes, when people learn about my conditions, they do jokes. Most of the time, I think that they don't do that intentionally to hurt me. I get that. But, that does not mean that it does not hurt me. I've lost a lot of things & chances because of this. You may say that you have to face the situation instead of escaping. That's what I've been trying very hard. But, when you live with others, when you interact with others with such a condition, it not that easy. I've been at home for years without doing a job. All those years, I was scared & depressed about surviving among others @ a work place. Anyway, last year, I thought through this & decided to get a job. Thanks to one of my best friends, who's been very kind & understand my situation, I got a job @ his office. Since the end of the last year, I've been working there. Now, I'm happy that I decided to start to work last year. But, that's not an end to my issues. I knew that I'm gonna go though some hard times when I work. & I've been experiencing that. Everyone @ the office, who has learnt about my condition are dear to me. Sometime, some of them have done jokes. But, I try not get upset about. He insisted me to do a research about such conditions people suffer from on the web & to meet a specialist. He said, "just meet some good specialist & give it a try. It may give you a solution or not. You make your mind & do whatever you wanted do after that.". This idea is not something that I haven't thought about before. Anyway, after that discussion I had with him, I've been thinking about his suggestions. So, here I am, telling you my story. I want to know what you think about this story. And, if I meet a specialist, about which area in he/she should be specialized about?.
