Unfortunately I too was a so called "Graduate" of IJTS and one of the most successful students according to Dr.Ishantha that he used me for marketing IJTS as well. </p><p> Before I begin to explain why I think that IJTS is a fraud I would like to introduce my educational background and how I actually became successful in my career and what IJTS actually has to do with it. Initially after my A\L's I joined NIBM and started doing my Diploma In Computer System Design. While I was doing the diploma I heard about the opportunity to be a professional java developer by doing SCJP at IJTS institute. So I went there one day and asked for clarifications and more information, since I was quite satisfied with what I heard back then and I also passed their so called "IQ test" I decided to join IJTS and do my SCJP there.</p><p> Shortly after I finished my SCJP exam help program and faced my SCJP exam they got me all caught up with all the hype about their AJD (so called "Advanced Java Developer") program. So I joined the AJD program to "Study Java". Meanwhile I had also started my Higher Diploma In Computer Based Information Systems (HDCBIS) at NIBM as well. By the time I had completed my AJD program I was able to graduate from NIBM and obtain my higher diploma In computer based information systems, by then I was interested in Java Mobile Scenario and as a result I started following their exam help course at IJTS for SCMAD exam back then in 2007. Also during my entire study period at IJTS they had these one day knowledge blasting lecture/workshops that taught us so called industry technologies that anyone with 1/2 brain could learn just by googling (like xml,javascript,junit,log4j etc...) and charged 1200/= rupees for each workshop , this too was a major source of income for IJTS. By the time I finished by SCMAD program they introduced me this wait for it......."The IJTS degree”. I had to pay 180,000 rupees alone to get this degree certificate, which had no value whatsoever and no recognition whatsoever in Sri Lanka or overseas. Anyhow by the time I got my degree I got called for an interview from one of the startup level companies which was by that time</p><p>Incubated inside another major software development company (I'm not mentioning the name of the company for professional reasons). And this company didn’t check my degree certificate due to my fortune or misfortune; therefore I got the job at the new company as they were satisfied with my programming skills, my sun certifications and due to the fact that they knew nothing about IJTS or their degree scam. The fact that I had a degree was adequate for them. On that occasion I was ecstatic about my first job so I foolishly informed about this accomplishment to the CEO of my so call alma mater (IJTS) Dr.Ishantha. This was met with cheers by Dr.Ishantha and he immediately used this information for his marketing schemes. </p><p> Time went by and I continued to work in my current company learning from my work experience. While I was working I wanted to start doing my Msc and I applied to few universities with my IJTS degree certificate. Only then the truth struck me by lightening and made me realize my mistake. I was met with immediate rejection. By this time in 2009 Open University was promoting their new Bachelor of Software Engineering Degree program and I applied to it. I was lucky and blessed to get selected this esteemed degree program, which eventually helped me climb out of the rock bottom that I’ve reached due to IJTS and finally establish myself as a recognized software engineer with a UGC approved university degree. </p><p>After completing this OUSL degree I was fortunate enough to be promoted to a Senior Developer position within my current company. This allowed me to take a vehicle loan from HSBC and buy my first car. Again I was ecstatic foolish enough to send this news to Dr.Ishantha,as I was bent on giving the news to everyone possible as a means of showing off my first car (it was too late when I’ve realized the stupidity of my actions); this was immediately met with congratulatory comments and was used for IJTS marketing right afterwards. And he also got one of his trusted and partial journalists, who only heard what she wanted to hear during the interview, from ABC network to write an article about me in Sinhala. This article was not only published on their ijts site wall of (shame) fame but also added to the facebook adverts as well.</p><p>Following this he made up an award for me called the “Outstanding Achievement as a Software Engineer” and gave it to me at their 5th Annual fake degree convocation held at Mt.Lavinia Hotel on 6th Dec 2011. Another array of made up fake awards, with more amusing titles; for example the “most popular staff member award” was given to his minions at this convocation. </p><p> After this, about a month after receiving his fake award and about 06 months after publishing his article about me, I applied for my skills recognition to an overseas skills recognition authority with my IJTS degree. Again surprisingly enough my IJTS degree was listed as “qualifications not recognized” together with their “Advanced Java Developer” program. But this too was not a good eye opener for me as I had been brain washed thoroughly and this still had an effect on me. It was only when one of my colleagues from my office saw my article on IJTS web site via a facebook advert and posted it on his facebook wall for all my office facebook contacts to see; the humiliation that I experienced from this was so intense I almost cried. This was the eye opening incident that made me come out of my IJTS brainwash trance and declare the truth to the world.</p><p>In conclusion you can see that even though I’ve been seeing the truth right in front of my eyes several times I’ve been too blinded by IJTS Dr.Ishantha’s marketing tactics and other IJTS Paraphernalia. Therefore my advice to all young adults and young brothers and sisters out there is not to listen to Dr.Ishantha’s marketing schemes and not to talk to him at all since he will soon get inside your head. I was lucky enough to have done my OUSL degree that I was able to go overcome this curse and climb out of the IJTS degree hole. But there are many students out there who have spend all their poor parents’ money on this fake degree and could not get out of this IJTS degree hell and could not obtain any valid UGC approved degree because of their current financial and academic situation.</p></blockquote><p></p>
