The Allies and Soviets return in the game, and units and some structures from the first Red Alert make a reappearance. The game features better graphics, multiplayer and a continuation of the Red Alert story. However, unlike the first Red Alert, it does not seem to feature connections to the Tiberian storyline.Two stories are implemented in the game: when the player chooses on the Allied side, they succeed in defeating the Soviets.
