You are looking at the problem in a completely different side...I’m not exactly sure about the DB structure of this forum, but I assume there is a table for posts where one row corresponds to a post. So editing a post means updating that row, I don’t see how editing that row after some time can put any extra burden on the database than editing a newly created post. I don’t get your point, right now you can edit a post up to 24 hours. So what you are saying can happen even now. I’m sure you can come up with a couple more trivial reasons for not letting the posts to be edited after 24 hours, but I don’t think any of those can create major problems.  I’m a member of many other large non SL forums where forum rules are much much striker than here, but I’m yet to come across a forum that has a 24hr time limit.</blockquote>
