Its just a handful of parameters we got here to benchmark the sl corporate world & turnover is basically the main prospect a one can rely on with the extreme terbulance of other perks & fringe benifits the employer gives u in the current market.
We learned a lot after 2008, just the asia has a 35% growth, EU is still recovering, everthing has turned capital intensive whereas the turnover contributes its major share to the runnnig capital.
Despite the size of fish its the coprprate stratergy what determines the survival or the falure of u & the organization as a whole in a economy which is still in search of oxygen.. so u decide wat is lame.

Im not talking about some global prospective here. On the contrary Im not being specific to the Sri Lankan market as well. What I said was the turnover of one comapny alone is not a good measurement to decide where you wanna work. There are so many other parameters that you need to consider. You have completeely ignored unlisted companies...
I know for a fact that 90% of canditates would prefer to work in MAS or Brandix over SLT. (btw Im not working in one of those)
Just go and find out what are the other parameters that they have used to come up with that fortune 500 list. And take those parameters and apply those to the local scenario..And now you are in a better position to find wich comapny you best fit in..

yep im asking you to use those other handful of parameters, not only turnover..To me TO is only one key aspect...Just take Enron for example..Can you ever predict the collapse of Enron by looking at their TO???

EU is not recovering my friend. Yesterday EU decided to grant Greece, the second bail out package worth $158 Billion. Believe me next in line is Protugal. And then Italy, Ireland and Spain and it goes on. EU is in great trouble..

I though you were talking about chosing the best employer..I was talking about you and yourself not about one compnies future based on its corparate strategy. Unless you are son or daughter of the company's directors, you are gonna join you dont know what their corparte stratgey. Thats is future and TO is past data. Most of the time the word STRTEGY is used whenever someone wants to escape from someting difficult and complex and is added up with out considering its nature and context.
In a nutshell, TO alone is not enough to chose the best employer..use the other parameters which are in fortune 500 list...
