    Hi Guys!

As I've posted some other threads recently regarding our plan to visit "Kandy" soon, I got this problem as well. Could you please answer considering the following facts?

    1. Are these both the same or two different types?
    2. Comparison (Pros & Cons)
    3. I have a DSLR camera, which I plan carry. As an photography enthusiast, I'd love to take some photos (If possible) on the train.
    4. Any other important information

    Thanks in Advance! :)

First class is mostly A/C carriages on S12/S14 (called AFC)

Observation is old type carriages that are attached to the end of the train with a big window. A/C too (called OFV)

If you want to take photographs then observation saloon is the best option. But then you need the front row window seat.
First class is just another train compartment with AC.
